We currently have openings in several counties in Florida. A successful Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) plays a vital role in guiding clients through the home financing process, from initial inquiry to loan closing. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with borrowers, real estate agents, and lenders, evaluating financial profiles to match clients with suitable loan products, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Networking with professionals within the real estate industry—such as agents, brokers, and title companies—is essential to building a strong client base. MLOs must also provide excellent customer service, stay up-to-date on industry trends, and manage their pipeline efficiently. For unlicensed applicants, obtaining a mortgage license is required, and we offer the necessary training to help meet all state and federal requirements.

We are seeking detail-oriented applicants for a clerical/accounting position responsible for supporting the financial operations of our organization. Key duties include managing data entry, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role also involves handling administrative tasks, such as filing, managing correspondence, and assisting with reports. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office are essential. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines. Previous experience in accounting or clerical roles is preferred, but we are open to training the right candidate.

Here are the general steps to becoming a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) in the United States: 1. Meet Eligibility Requirements Be at least 18 years old. Have a high school diploma or GED (some employers may prefer higher education). Pass a background check, including fingerprinting and a credit report. 2. Register with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Create an account on the NMLS website (https://mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org). Obtain a unique NMLS ID number to track your licensing process. 3. Complete Pre-Licensing Education (20 Hours) Take 20 hours of NMLS-approved coursework, including: 3 hours on federal law and regulations. 3 hours on ethics (including fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending). 2 hours on non-traditional mortgage products. 12 hours of general electives. 4. Pass the SAFE MLO Test Take and pass the SAFE MLO National Test with Uniform State Content (requires 75% or higher to pass). If required, complete any additional state-specific exams or coursework. 5. Submit a Licensing Application via NMLS Complete the MLO license application on the NMLS platform. Provide personal and employment information, disclosures, and pay the required application fees. 6. Complete Background Checks and Credit Check Submit fingerprints for a federal background check through NMLS. Authorize a credit report review to assess financial responsibility. 7. Get Sponsored by an Employer (if required) Some states require you to be employed by a licensed mortgage company to activate your MLO license. Your employer must sponsor your license through NMLS. 8. Meet State-Specific Requirements Depending on the state(s) where you plan to operate, you may need to fulfill additional requirements, such as education or testing specific to that state. 9. Receive Your MLO License Once approved, your MLO license will be issued, and you can legally originate loans. 10. Maintain Your License Complete 8 hours of NMLS-approved continuing education annually to keep your license active. Monitor renewal deadlines and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. This process ensures compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) and prepares MLOs to serve clients responsibly.
